Candidates must meet the following physical and medical benchmarks.

- No history of mental illness or psychiatric disorders

Age Relaxation Rules
- General Candidates: Age relaxation of up to 5 years
- Retired Armed Forces Personnel: Age relaxation of up to 15 years
- Government Employees (minimum 2 years of service): Age relaxation of up to 10 years
- Upto 3 years for Candidates from Sindh (Rural), Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Ex-FATA, AJK, and Minorities
- Widow / Son / Daughter of deceased govt employee: 5 years
